How to Sell Shoes on StockX (and make money)

If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m kind of a ‘sneakerhead’. 👟

StockX has been very good to my shoe addiction, not so great for my checking account. 💸

But we are not talking about my shoe addiction today. 🤐

We are going to talk about how you can make some money using StockX for your side hustle.

This is part of the Grow Your Dough Throwdown series.

If you are not familiar with this, be sure to subscribe to the playlist so you can keep up with all the different platforms, stocks picks, and investments that I am utilizing. There are quite a few of them.

To make it a little more fun, I thought I would throw in a way to show you how you can make money without all the work, by starting up a side hustle.

Well this site, StockX, they let you buy shoes from all over! Like an eBay for shoes! 👟

But, they will also let you sell shoes. I started doing a little research on what people were paying for certain types of shoes. I realized if you could get your hands on some of the hot shoes, you could make some money. 💰

We are going to focus on the shoes I am buying specifically for the purpose of reselling them to make money (not the extras I keep picking up!).

For a lot of these shoes that are really hot, you are only able to buy one pair at online stores. They go fast!

At the time of this recording I have only been able to pick up three pairs of shoes and resell them with a total profit of $108.84 from 3 purchases. That is net return.

I’ve only been doing this for a couple of weeks. Not a bad gig for something I can do on my phone in a couple of clicks.

  1. So it’s clear from this video that you’re not a sneaker head but rather I dude who likes sneakers. Sneaker flipping has been around for years lol nothing new here yes there is money in it if you can get the sneakers that are actually worth flipping. Cool vid for beginners who know nothing about sneakers or StockX .

  2. So you check the price in Nike.Com,compare it with the price at stockx and if it's cheaper there you buy them and sell them at stockx?? Thays it?? Any kind of strategy to pick the shoes with more margin??

  3. Not sure if you actually read the comments but I’m 18 and I’ve been subscribed to you for maybe about a year. Some time in the past I probably found one of your videos, really liked it, and thought it worthwhile to subscribe. I admit that the majority of your videos I gloss over but this one I had to watch as I’m a sneakerhead and a reseller myself. It’s really interesting to see someone who is new to the sneaker game just staring out. If you’re looking to really pursue reselling sneakers or building a collection I’d love to teach you what I know. I’ve been reselling sneakers and “hype” clothing for about a year and a half now and I’d say the single most important thing is learning the culture and what is “hyped” and what isn’t. I’d also take a look into an app called GOAT, which was just recently acquired by Footlocker. It’s essentially the same thing as StockX but it deals with used sneakers as well. If you know your stuff, it’s fairly easy to find very good deals on used shoes that are near deadstock (unused) or have only been worn once or twice. Also something that I have been looking into recently is Netmagnetism raffles. Their raffles are always an $11 buy in for 1 spot and the top prize can be pairs anywhere from $500-5000. Anyways it was great to see this video and I’d love to see more content like this if you continue your sneaker reselling journey.

  4. Oh my favorite so far is fundrise..Jeff did you catch the IPO? I barely did. Lol.
And secondly the stock market. Its much more fun when u detach yourself from money and jus look at it as a paper worker and play it as a big monopoly game…

And it's crazy but losing big really does strengthen your character for withstanding the storms of the market…

  5. As usual great content…and the shoe biz is kinda like a unknown terrain for mind never even wandered it's good to hear this…Jeff is really exploring and opening up possibilities, true entrepeneur..kudos 👍
